3-Steps to “New” New Year’s Resolutions

There’s a brief spell that arrives between Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve when I’m looking at time on my hands.  If I let myself relax and soften my vision it’s like a walk all along the Seawalk on a March afternoon in 2003:  It was a day of bright metallic sunshine and the glitter on the surface of the ocean was so intense it was jumping off the waves.

C.P. Estes writes: “The whole circus of outer life falls to dust…  The new parents are the wind and the road.”

Reflecting Into the New Year

Gloss and shine the surface of your interior world.  Try turning passionate longing into passionate enjoyment.

3-Steps to “New” New Year’s Resolutions:

  1. Visualize your passions and meditate to gain insights.
  2. Make a list of your heart’s desires.
  3. Become a risk-taker by following through on steps 1 and 2.

“We have a chance to cease walking into walls of our own making and learn to pass through them instead.”  C.P. Estes
